Also includes scripture and topical references on each song page as well as numerous indices and other resources for planning worship using these songs.
The Worship Planner Edition is an essential resource for meeting the needs of the "worship planner." The worship leader, minister of music, or pastor who plans the worship service will find within this edition a treasure chest of invaluable planning resources. The musical format in the Worship Planner Edition is identical to that of the Singer's Edition. Even the page numbers and page layouts of each song are indentical, so that the director may easily rehearse the singers from the Worship Planner Edition. In addition chord symbols are included so that the worship leader can be familiar with the harmonies the instrumentalists are playing. One could even rehearse or lead from the piano using the chord symbols for support if need be.
Scripture references that correlate with the subject matter of the text of each song are included in the top left hand corner. These Scripture verses can be read in rehearsal or in worship to bring clarity and meaning to the message of a given song. In the bottom left hand corner on the first page of each song is a list of Topics that correlate with the text of the song. These topics also correspond to the topic each is referenced under in the the Topical Index of Songs. Beneath the Topics is the voicing used in the Pew Edition for that song. In this way, the worship leader can know whether a congregation might sing parts or a Descant on a particular song.
