"On beginning our fourth record, as a songwriter, one of my chief concerns has been how to keep things fresh from a lyrical and musical perspective.

How do you find the kind of inspiration to give folks something new, something more interesting, something that has enough flare to hold their attention in the midst of a world full of loud and colorful distraction. In search for something that seemed popular enough that folks would receive it, the idea of who we are as writers and more importantly who the one is that we're writing about once again came crashing down on me. God is so awesome and so captivating that we could write songs for the rest of eternity and we'd still be at the tip of the iceberg. We are His children. We're redeemed by His blood and called into a relationship with Him. So for me, the way we write songs can be approached in a number of ways, but as far as the heart behind it all, the idea is to keep the main thing the main thing. We've been writing about God and our relationship with Him from the first.

Every Time I Breathe, is truly just a continuation of what we've been about since Big Daddy Weave began. Worship is not just about a song and the time and place that we sing that song. Worship is about our entire life response to the greatness and the glory of God. As a human, I've come to the place where I don't even have to think about breathing. It just happens.
